If Colleen and Cynthia Neilson had a dollar for every time they've heard, “Why didn't I think of that?” they would be millionaires. Instead, they have created a niche market for home decor, called Magnificent Trimmings, Inc., using magnets, a little creativity and a lot of hard work.
Colleen found a small magnetic clasp in her jewelry drawer that seemed to offer the solution. She used it to attach some beads to the metal chandelier and was able to change the look of her lighting fixture. Colleen's daughter, Cynthia, was impressed by her mother's ingenuity.
